Gilles Chalançon is a former Army Officer who joined Total Group in 2003 as a Security Expert within the Corporate Security Division. He has been involved in the security of major projects in Africa and worldwide such as a LNG terminal in the Gulf of Aden. He was recently in charge of Total’s Security for the Middle East and is now the Head of the Protection Department that covers a large panel of subjects such as  standards of Protection, R&D projects in security technologies, Crisis Management, Voluntary Principle on Security and Human Right and Maritime Security.
