Ms. Giulia Nicoloso


Ms. Giulia Nicoloso is the Project Manager of the Critical Maritime Routes Monitoring, Support and Evaluation Mechanism (CRIMSON)

She has worked on the EU-CRIMSON project for four years, based in Brussels, where she maintains close connections with the European Commission and the EEAS. She works to promote coherence, coordination and synergies among maritime security initiatives sponsored by the EU and its partners, with a particular focus on capacity building in the Gulf of Guinea and the Eastern Indian Ocean.

Prior to joining CRIMSON, Giulia worked other EU project on organised crime and drug trafficking in Latin America and West Africa, as well as for the private sector and academic institutions as lead researcher on security topics. She holds two M.A.s in International Relations from the University of Milan and in Conflict, Security and Development from King’s College London. She is fluent in Italian, English, French and Spanish.
